Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Training

Addressing Racial Issues and Gender and Sexuality Diversity

This training is designed to show yoga studios and their staff how to adopt practices that champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In this training we will go over how racial oppression has affected the health and wellness industry and how this applies to yoga studios. We will learn how oppression has affected the most marginalized communities in their access to health and wellness and how this is exemplified at the intersections of race, gender and sexuality. Together we will learn how to combat these systems of oppression in our practices as yoga teachers and studio owners. This will be invaluable in expanding our minds and our hearts, helping us to love more skillfully and consciously with minimal harm.

Participants will leave this training with a general understanding of how to adopt antiracist practices and competently serve a wide range of students varying in race, ethnicity, gender and sexuality. Studio owners will be given tangible action items that will help to cultivate diversity, equity and inclusion amongst their teachers, staff and student base.

Investment:

LGBTQ+ and Trans Cultural Competency Training and Consultations

Group Trainings

Learn how to create LGBTQ+ and Trans affirming spaces as a yoga studio, any health and wellness service provider or any other business.

I offer trainings for studios, yoga teacher training programs, health care practitioners or any other businesses. Participants will leave my trainings feeling more confident in serving their LGBTQ+ and Trans identified students/patients/clients with sensitivity and compassion.

My specialty is in yoga schools and will share knowledge of how to teach asanas and other yogic practices/philosophies in a culturally sensitive and trauma informed manner. However, I will customize my training to include competency in whatever services you and your team may provide.

Investment:

$150 per hour, a minimum of 3 hours

Individual Consultations

I offer private consultations to family and friends of POC, LGBTQ+ and Trans identified individuals, counselors, teachers, employers or anyone else wanting to engage with the LGBTQ+ and Trans and POC community more sensitively.
